MacDonald to seek Provincial Liberal Nomination for SDSG

Cornwall - Jan. 13, 2011 - In a short Media Release today, defeated Cornwall Mayoral candidate Mark MacDonald, announced his intention to seek the Provincial Liberal Nomination for Stormont, Dundas & South Glengarry. MacDonald served 2 terms on Cornwall City Council and was defeated by Bob Kilger by 2,303 votes in the October 25th Municipal Election.

"I believe in an Ontario that is worth fighting for and I believe that under the present leadership we are moving in the right direction", stated MacDonald. "Our well respected MPP Jim Brownell has a big pair of shoes to fill and the future is bright, the hard work presently being done must continue."

Ontarians go to the polls on Thursday October 6, 2011. The Liberal Nomination is now wide open with the recent announcement that current MPP Jim Brownell will not be seeking re-election.
