Cornwall - Jan. 31, 2011 - Get ready for more snow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of a major snowstorm striking numerous parts of Ontario, including Cornwall and S, D and G.

The bulk of the snow is expected to begin falling Tuesday night and continue Wednesday, Environment Canada stated.

Potential snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 centimetres are likely before the snow tapers off Wednesday afternoon and evening.

According to Environment Canada, a "significant" snowfall is quite possible in the Ottawa and Cornwall areas on Wednesday as the storm gets closer.

In addition strong and gusty east winds will develop with the snow. This will cause local whiteout conditions in blowing snow making for hazardous driving conditions.

Travellers should be prepared to adjust plans accordingly.
