Cornwall - Apr. 15, 2011 - The stage just got a little bigger for the upcoming federal All-Candidates Debate.

The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce announced Friday that local Libertarian candidate Darcy Neal Donnelly will be taking part in the All-Candidates debate on April 21 at the Cornwall Civic Complex.

"Even though Mr. Donnelly announced his candidacy after debate plans had been put in place, the chamber believes it's important that all voices be heard," said chamber President Rick Shaver in a news release.

"As a result, we have made adjustments to the debate schedule in order to accommodate him."

With the addition of the Libertarian party hopeful, there will be five candidates taking part in the debate - incumbent Guy Lauzon, Liberal Bernadette Clement, New Democrat Mario Leclerc, Green Wyatt Walsh and Donnelly.

The event begins at 7 p.m. with a moderator posing questions to each of the candidates followed by a scrum.

The chamber encourages the public to attend as there will be an opportunity to ask questions of each of the candidates.
