The local candidates will face off against one another in three separate debates on three consecutive nights, starting with an Agricultural All Candidates Debate on Tuesday night.

Sponsored by the Stormont and Dundas Federations of Agriculture, the debate will take place at North Stormont Place in Avonmore beginning at 8 p.m. Area farmers will have a chance to ask questions of the candidates at the event.

That will be followed by an All-Candidates Debate on Wednesday night, April 20, at the South Mountain Agricultural Hall. The event is sponsored by the North Dundas Chamber of Commerce and Dundas Federation of Agriculture, and it gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday night, the scene will shift to the Cornwall Civic Complex where the candidates will square off in the highly-anticipated Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce All Candidates Debate.

The debate will begin with a moderator posing questions to each of the candidates followed by a scrum. The audience will also have an opportunity to ask questions of each of the candidates. The event gets underway at 7 p.m., and residents are invited to attend in person or tune in to the live broadcast on TV COGECO or TheCornwalldaily.com.
