The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:It is alleged that on the 1st of October, 2011, a man entered in to an altercation with his 56 year-old wife when he assaulted her with a file folder, rolled up paper and a hair dryer.

Cornwall - Oct. 3, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Raymond Cuillerier, 34 of Maxville was arrested on the 30th of September, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 31st of May 2011 he failed to attend for court. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Carlton Mitchell, 47 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of October, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, and not to be outside your residence if you have consumed any alcohol in the prior 12 hours. It is alleged that on the 1st of October, 2011 at approximately 1:30 a.m. he was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and released to appear in court on the 20th of October, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- Rene Rozon, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of October 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to report to Cornwall Police in person every Friday. It is alleged that on 30 September 2011 he failed to report. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC HARASMENT
Cornwall, ON- A 63 year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 1st of October, 2011. It is alleged that on the 1st of October, 2011, she continuously attended her 76 year-old ex-common-law husband's residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Harassment and held in custody until court the following day. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

THEFT OF FOUR WHEELER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a theft of a green Polaris Sportsman 500HO which occurred between the 27th of September, 2011 and the 30th of September, 2011 at a Ninth Street East residence. If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact the Service at 613-932-2110 or Crime Stoppers at 613-937-8477.

DRUGS
Cornwall, ON- Gary Brown, 56 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 2nd of October 2011, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division attended his residence and while conducting an investigation observed controlled substances. He was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released to appear in court on 20 October 2011.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 39 year old Cornwall man was arrested on the 2nd of October 2011. He was bound by a probation order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify probation of any change of address. It is alleged that on the 24th of September 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 26 year old girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted on the 2nd of October 2011 and an investigation followed. Upon his arrest, police located on him a controlled substance. He was charged with Assault, Possession of a Controlled substance and two counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

Cornwall, ON- A 55 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 2nd of October, 2011. It is alleged that on the 1st of October, 2011 he entered in to an altercation with his 56 year-old wife when he assaulted her with a file folder, rolled up paper and a hair dryer. He further would not allow her to leave the residence and threatened to kill her. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 3 counts Assault with a weapon, Forcible Confinement and Utter a Threat to Cause Death. He was held in custody until court the next day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Justin Dumont, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 1st of October 2011 he removed a car code reader from a Brookdale Avenue business. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The male turned himself in to police and was charged with Theft Under $5000.00. He was release to attend court at a later date.
