Traffic Stop By OPP Nets Drugs
The following is an official media release from the Ontario Provincial Police:The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 22lbs of suspected marihuana.The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $44,000.

South Stormont - Oct. 4, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Ontario Provincial Police:

TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUGS
(South Stormont) - On October 30, at approximately 9:00pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Stormont Township.
The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 22lbs of suspected marihuana. The 38yr old male driver from Montreal, QC was arrested and faces charges of Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana and Possession for the Purpose Schedule II.
He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $44,000.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Glengarry) - On October 30, at approximately 5:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Willow Drive, South Glengarry Township.
The investigation revealed that a female and her 59yr old boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.
He was arrested and faces a charge of Assault.
He is scheduled to appear October 18 in Cornwall court.
