The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:It is alleged that on the 5th of October 2011 a man got into a altercation with his 30 year old common law spouse when he assaulted her.

Cornwall - Oct. 6, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Geoffrey Head, 55 of Cornwall was arrested on the 5th of October 2011. He was bound a recognizance with the relevant condition to be under house arrest unless accompanied by one of your sureties. He was also bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 21st and the 22nd of September, 2011 he left his residence without his sureties. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged accordingly and held for court the following day.

FRAUD UNDER $5000.00
Cornwall, ON- Sylvain Pilon, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 5th of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 13th of September 2011 the male fraudulently cashed a cheque. Police were contacted and the male was charged with Fraud Under $5000. He was released to appear in court on the 8th of November 2011.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 31 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 5th of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 5th of October 2011 he got into a altercation with his 30 year old common law spouse when he assaulted her. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged and held for court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

Cornwall, ON- A 24 year old Cornwall man was arrested on the 5th of October 2011. It is alleged that on the 5th of October 2011 he got into an altercation with his 23 year old common law spouse when he assaulted her. The victim suffered minor injuries to her wrist. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged and held for court the next day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.
