Cornwall - May. 27, 2011 - Ontario's travel experience keeps getting better for residents and visitors with the opening of
the new highway service centre at Ingleside.
The modern and fully accessible service centre provides travellers with eco- and familyfriendly
facilities that include fuel and food services, coffee, convenience retail stores,
improved truck facilities, tourism information and washrooms.
The Ingleside service centre will create approximately 100 to 150 jobs and is open to
motorists 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Investing in Ontario’s roads, highways, transit, hospitals and schools is part of the
government’s plan to create jobs, grow local economies and ensure the province remains
strong and competitive for years to come.
“The state-of-the-art service centre near Ingleside provides a welcoming place for people to
rest and refuel so they can travel safely,” said Kathleen Wynne, Minister of Transportation
"Our government is providing new, modern service centres that are very convenient for
travellers and showcase Ontario’s hospitality to tourists,” stated Jim Brownell, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry
