Cornwall - Jan. 28, 2011 - The General Electryk is calling on local artists to help create the artwork for a vinyl release of their first album, Petty Little Things.

The musical group is now accepting submissions for an original piece of artwork to be included in the album's already stellar artwork catalogue. The contest is open to all artists in Cornwall and S, D and G, and the winning entry - chosen by the band - will be featured on at least 500 copies of the albums to be distributed throughout Canada and Australia. The image can be created in any form, and participants are asked to send a digital copy of their original image to contest@generalelectryk.com by April. The folk-alt-indie-rock band - featuring singer/songwriter Melanie McDonald and drummer/backing vocalist Angus James - are currently on tour in Australia in support of Petty Little Things.
