Guy has been an active member of the PC Party for over 30 years and is a former Legislative Page at Queen’s Park under the guidance of the late Fred Cass, the former local MPP and Speaker of the House.

Guy was inspired by the leadership of former MPP, the Honourable Noble Villeneuve. “I will strive to restore the integrity and accessibility that Mr. Villeneuve brought to our riding,” said Guy.

Ontarians go to the polls on Thursday October 6, 2011. South Glengarry Mayor Jim McDonell has also announced his intention to seek the PC Nomination. The SDSG PC Nomination meeting will be held on April 9th, 2011 at Tagwi Secondary School. To be able to vote at the meeting, residents need to be a member of the Ontario PC Party by March 18th.

To date, former Cornwall Councillor Mark MacDonald, retired St. Lawrence Collage Director Pat Finucan and community activist Denis Sabourin have announced their intention to seek the Liberal Nomination. At this point, there are no announced candidates for the other parties.
