City hosting open house for construction projects
The city is hosting an open house information session on April 7 to discuss the construction of Pine Street and Jobin Avenue.

Cornwall - Mar. 30, 2011 - Residents of Pine Street and Jobin Avenue will be able to learn more about the road construction plans in their neighbourhoods at an open house on April 7.

The city is hosting the open house information session to answer questions and seek input on the proposed construction of Pine Street from Seymour Avenue to Cumberland Street and Jobin Avenue from the west limit to Aubin Avenue.

The project will include the replacement of the combined sewers (with separated storm and sanitary sewers), watermain, as well as service laterals from the main line to the property line. The roadway and sidewalks will also be reconstructed. The project is tentatively scheduled to be done between mid-May and early September 2011.

The open house will run on April 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the municipal works office on Ontario Street.
