Chesterville - Jun. 9, 2011 - Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak will be in the riding of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry today. He and local PC candidate Jim McDonell will host an agriculture roundtable to discuss relief for rural Ontario families and small businesses.

The meeting will be held at Vanden Bosch Farms, 2809 County Road 7 in Chesterville at 2:50 pm.

“Taxes in Ontario are too high; squeezing the budgets of hard working Ontario families and killing business investments and job creation opportunities. Under Dalton McGuinty`s government, spending has increased 77% since 2003 and Ontario’s debt has doubled,” said McDonell in his most recent column. “A Tim Hudak PC government is committed to stopping this out-of-control spending, while providing immediate savings on home energy costs and personal income tax.”

Former Cornwall city councillor Mark MacDonald, retired St. Lawrence College Director Pat Finucan and Parliament Hill staffer Denis Sabourin have announced their intention to seek the Liberal nomination which will be held on June 13th. Cornwall councillor Elaine MacDonald is the sole candidate thus far to seek the NDP nomination, whose meeting will be held June 15th. The Green Party has yet to announce their nomination plans.

Ontarians go to the polls on Thursday October 6, 2011.
