Canada Post workers in Cornwall hit the picket line
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced yesterday that Cornwall will be one of ten communities that will be going on strike as part of the ongoing Canada Post labor dispute. Today, Canada Post workers could be seen on the picket line in front of the Canada Post location on Second Street West.

Cornwall - Jun. 13, 2011 - The postal strike began at the beginning of June and up until now there has been very little disruption for Cornwall and SD&G residents. Today, Canada Post workers could be seen on the picket line in front of the Canada Post location on Second Street West.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced yesterday that Cornwall will be one of ten communities that will be going on strike as part of the ongoing Canada Post labor dispute. The media release did not indicate how long the strike would last.

Other communities affected in the latest round of rotating strikes include: Corner Brook, NL, Fredericton, NB, Breton, NS (Sydney, North Sydney, Sydney Mines, New Waterford and Glace Bay), Mauricie, QC, Sherbrooke, QC, Windsor, ON, Niagara Falls, ON, Regina, SK, and Nanaimo, BC.
