Cornwall - Jun. 15, 2011 - Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off is looking for a few good men, good women and good students!

Every year, Lift-Off relies on the efforts of hundreds of volunteers. The festival is always looking for responsible people to assist in the different aspects of the festival. With 25 balloons, the exceptional concerts and the new Family Zone this year, the need for volunteers is greater than any other year.

Director of Volunteers, Kim Joncas promises “If you can spare the time, we certainly guarantee that we will be able to find a fun and rewarding volunteer position for you. Lift-Off is a great event for our community and would simply not be possible without the efforts of our volunteers.”

If you are a student looking for volunteer hours, or just looking for a new experience, Lift-Off is just the event to assist with. If you enjoy the outdoors, don’t mind a little physical activity, and can drive a truck and trailer (you must be able to reverse that truck and trailer as well!) you would be a great volunteer for the Balloon Crew. To crew you must be over 16 years of age and have a valid passport. If that is not the kind of activity you are partial to, what about working in the Family Zone? There is also a need for volunteers over 18 years of age for hospitality in the beer tent for ticket sales and clearing tables and for ticket sellers for the 50/50 draw.
