Elaine MacDonald is the newest columnist with OurHometown.ca
OurHometown.ca is pleased to announce that Elaine MacDonald will be joining our team of columnists. On June 15, 2011, MacDonald was acclaimed as her party's candidate and is now the Ontario NDP candidate for the riding of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

Cornwall - Jun. 16, 2011 - OurHometown.ca is pleased to announce that Elaine MacDonald will be joining our team of columnists.

MacDonald is currently a member of Cornwall City Council. MacDonald was the NDP Federal Candidate in 2004, finishing third behind Guy Lauzon and Bob Kilger. She also ran federally in 2006, again finishing third behind Lauzon and Tom Manley.

On June 15, 2011, MacDonald was acclaimed as her party's candidate and is now the Ontario NDP candidate for the riding of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

MacDonald’s column will begin on our site shortly. Make a point to check back and see what Elaine and the Ontario NDP Party are offering to Ontarians.

South Glengarry Mayor Jim McDonnell has already won the Progressive Conservative nomination. Former Cornwall city councillor Mark MacDonald, won the Liberal nomination earlier this week. The Green Party has yet to announce their nomination plans.

OurHometown.ca will offer space to each of the provincial candidates to write a column to discuss relevant Provincial issues. Ontarians go to the polls on Thursday October 6, 2011.
