Woman seriously injured in single vehicle crash on Highway 401
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Ontario Provincial Police: A 41 year old lone female occupant from Mississauga was taken from the scene of a single vehicle collison on the 401 by air ambulance to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries.

Leeds County - Jun. 26, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Ontario Provincial Police:

On the 25th of June 2011 at about 4:20 pm members of Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were advised of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 westbound, near Cliff Road, Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township.

A single vehicle was travelling westbound when the driver lost control, entered the north ditch striking a large rock.

A 41 year old lone female occupant from Mississauga was taken from the scene by air ambulance to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries.

That portion of Highway 401 was closed for about half an hour allowing for the investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
