17 Cornwall parks home to Summer Playground Program
With the school year now drawn to a close, the City of Cornwall’s Summer Playground Program has returned to 17 neighbourhood parks across Cornwall. The Summer Playground Program is a free, accessible drop-in program open to children between the ages of 5 and 12.

Cornwall - Jul. 7, 2011 - With the school year now drawn to a close, the City of Cornwall’s Summer Playground Program has returned to 17 neighbourhood parks across Cornwall. The Summer Playground Program is a free, accessible drop-in program open to children between the ages of 5 and 12.

“Each day our park leaders provide exciting play opportunities for children,” said Lorne Taillon, Leisure Arts Coordinator. “Everyone is welcome to join in on the many daily activities that include sports, active and quiet games, songs, arts, crafts and much more. Free registration for the program is available at all park locations during regular program hours.” The park leaders will offer programming from 1 pm to 4 pm on Mondays and 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm Tuesdays through Fridays. The program runs until Friday, August 19, and the park leaders can be found in the following parks:

  • Adams Park

  • Aimé Leblanc Park (morning only)

  • Alexander Park

  • Alguire Park

  • Bell Centennial Park

  • Gallinger Park (afternoon only)

  • Kinsmen Park

  • Lamoureux Park & Splash Pad

  • Mattice Park (afternoon only)

  • Meadowvale Park (morning only)

  • Menard Park

  • Reg Campbell Park

  • Riverdale Park

  • St. Joseph’s Park

  • St. Theresa’s Park

  • Snetsinger Park (morning only)

  • Terry Fox Park
