The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Fritzner Moise Jr., 36, of Montreal was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 following an altercation inside a Second Street West establishment.

Cornwall - Jul. 12, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 26 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 11th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. The male was bound by 2 separate Probation Orders with the same condition: to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that during an argument with his 25 year-old girlfriend he grabbed her and threw her on the bed. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. It is also alleged that he threatened to cause damage to her property. Police were contacted and as a result, the male is facing 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Utter threat to damage property and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT and ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, Ont. - An 83 year old Cornwall male was arrested on the 11th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 65 year-old wife, he pushed her across the chest area and then threw a cup of fruit at her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing 1 count of Domestic Assault and 1 count of Assault with a Weapon. The male was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT A PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, Ont. - Fritzner Moise Jr., 36, of Montreal was arrested on the 12th of July, 2011 following an altercation inside a Second Street West establishment. It is alleged that a police officer was attempting to stop an assault from occurring at which time the male assaulted the officer in the chest. The officer did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. As a result, the male was arrested for 1 count of Assault a Peace Officer and held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred shortly before 2 am on the 11th of July, 2011 at a Pitt Street convenience store. The suspect(s) gained entry through the storage area. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole money, merchandise and electronic scales.
