OPP release results of Distracted Driving Campaign
During the week July 11-17, 2011, SD&G OPP officers took part in the second or four Distracted Driving Campaigns dubbed "Phone in one hand, ticket in the other" taking place throughout the Province. In SD&G, a total of 33 drivers were charged for the offence on area roadways.

Alexandria - Jul. 19, 2011 - During the week July 11-17, 2011, SD&G OPP officers took part in the second or four Distracted Driving Campaigns dubbed "Phone in one hand, ticket in the other" taking place throughout the Province. In SD&G, a total of 33 drivers were charged for the offence on area roadways.

“Our Detachment is very serious about road safety”, states Inspector Mike McDonell, SD&G OPP Detachment Commander. He adds “We will continue our quest to discourage and target drivers who practice this unacceptable habit which could result in deadly consequences.”

Police encourage motorists to do their part in reporting unsafe drivers. Safe roads are everyone’s responsibility!
