OPP find body on Highway 7 near Perth
Preliminary investigation leads officers to believe that a young adult male, walking on Highway 7 may have been struck by a large vehicle, possibly a transport truck. Lanark County OPP would like to speak with anyone who was traveling on Highway 7 near Innisville(located between Perth and Carleton Place) between 2:00am and 3:00am today.

Perth - Jul. 23, 2011 - On July 23, 2011 at approximately 3:30am, Lanark County OPP officers responded to a body located on the highway.

As a result, police have closed Highway 7, near Innisville to conduct an investigation.

Preliminary investigation leads officers to believe that a young adult male, walking on Highway 7 may have been struck by a large vehicle, possibly a transport truck.

Lanark County OPP would like to speak with anyone who was traveling on Highway 7 near Innisville(located between Perth and Carleton Place) between 2:00am and 3:00am today.

A post mortem examination is to be scheduled to determine identity and cause of death.
