Dundas County Players auditioning for The Mollycoddlers
The Dundas County Players are extending an Open Audition Notice for their upcoming production, The Mollycoddlers. THE MOLLYCODDLERS, by Kingston playwright John Corrigan, is a hilarious comedy about a bunch of St. Lawrence River farmers in the 1840’s who turn to piracy to solve their monetary woes.

Winchester - Jul. 27, 2011 - The Dundas County Players are extending an Open Audition Notice for their upcoming production, The Mollycoddlers.

THE MOLLYCODDLERS, by Kingston playwright John Corrigan, is a hilarious comedy about a bunch of St. Lawrence River farmers in the 1840’s who turn to piracy to solve their monetary woes. Unlike Robin Hood, their decision is to "pirate from the rich and keep it."

Their bumbling attempt plunder a moored steamer are nothing short of hilarious - a sort of The Five Stooges meet The Pirates of Penzance. The play will be produced and presented by the Dundas County Players and directed by Tony Glen.

Performances are between November 18 and 27, 2011 at The Old Town Hall, Winchester, ON.

The Dundas County Players are currently in need of seven men (any age), two women (any age) and one young woman or teenage girl. Also needed are people interested in assisting in the production in any way (set building, props, costume making, lighting, sound, etc).

Auditions will be held on Thursday August 18th at 7:30pm and Friday August 19th at 7:30pm or by appointment.
