Cornwall Police investigating five break and enters
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service: The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 31st of July, 2011 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at a Munro Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by an unlocked front door and proceeded to steal a wallet containing money, driver’s license and other documents.

Cornwall - Aug. 3, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:

IMMIGRATION WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Christopher Belile, 23 of Akwesasne NY was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding Immigration Warrant. It is alleged that a warrant was issued under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act by the Canadian Boarder Services Agency. The male as arrested and turned over to the Canadian Border Services Agency.

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Angele Michelle Burelle-Godard, 19 was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 5th of July, 2011 she failed to attend court. She was located and held in custody until the following day.

Cornwall, ON- Allen Timothy Poirier, 49 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 7th of October, 1996 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was issued. He was located and released to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- Scott Albert Valcourt, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of August, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 24th of August, 2009 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was sought. On the 2nd of August, 2011, he was arrested by members of the Peel Regional Police Service and turned over the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was held in custody until court the following day.

THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Lise Dorothy Dufresene, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of July, 2011 she attended a Water Street Store and committed theft. She was located and charged with Theft under $5000.00. She was released to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge.

THEFT & BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011. The Youth was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to reside at a certain address, abide by the rules of the residence and to notify Cornwall Police within 24 hours of any change of address. It is alleged that on the 28th of July, 2011, the youth stole a bike from a neighboring residence. The youth was located at a different address and charged with Theft under $5000.00 and Breach of Undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youths name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT & BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- Dallas Anne Gosselin, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011. She was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 1st of August, 2011, she spit in a strangers glass and proceeded to assault him while being at a Second Street West establishment. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 2 counts of Assault and Breach of Undertaking. She was held in custody until court the following day.

ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM & BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Darcy Dingman, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on the 1st of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour, not to consumed alcohol, and not to communicate directly or indirectly with a certain person. It is alleged that on the 22nd of July, 2011, he engaged into an altercation with the said person while being intoxicated and assaulted him. The victim suffered injuries and required medical treatment. The victim was treated for a broken orbital bone and released from the hospital. Upon his arrest on the 1st of August, 2011, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service found him to be consuming alcohol. He was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and 5 counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 31st of July, 2011 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at a Munro Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by an unlocked front door and proceeded to steal a wallet containing money, driver’s license and other documents. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigation a break and enter which occurred on the 1st of August, 2011 at approximately 11:15hrs at a Duncan Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by an unlocked front door and proceeded to steal a wallet from a purse containing money and personal identification cards. THEFT OF BOAT
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2007 Chaparral 290 Signature Boat from a Brookdale Avenue address sometime between 10:00 p.m. on the 29th of July 2011 and late morning hours of on the following day. If you have any information regarding the theft of this vehicle, please contact the Service by dialling (613) 932-2110.

DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE & FLIGHT FROM POLICE
Cornwall, ON- Richard Denis Ricard, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 19th of July, 2011, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the male on a motorcycle due to being a suspended driver. He failed to stop, accelerated and proceeded to flee from police. He was located and charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle and Flight from Police. He was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

FAILED TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS
Cornwall, ON- Matthieu Edmond Brunet, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 14th of July, 2011 he was bound by a Promise to Appear for fingerprints and failed to attend. On the 2nd of August, 2011 he turned himself in to police and charged with Breach of Promise to Appear. He was released to appear to court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge.

ASSAULT & BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON- Shannon June Johnston, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of August, 2011. She was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and abstain from communication with a certain person. It is alleged that on the 2nd of August, 2011, she engaged in an altercation with the said person and made attempt to assault her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. She was released to appear in court on the 23rd of August, 2011.

THREATS TO CAUSE DEATH
Cornwall, ON- Robert Jeffrey Sauve, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 1st of August, 2011, while on Montreal Road he threaten to kill a male known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Uttering a Death Threat and held in custody until court the following day.

BREACH OF RECOGIZANCE AND UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the condition not to be away from residence between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The youth was also bound by an Undertaking with the pertinent condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. The youth was also bound by two Youth Probation Order with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and abide by a curfew of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. It is alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2011, the youth left the residence and returned after the designated curfew time. The youth was charged with breach of Recognizance, Breach of Undertaking and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 22 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 3rd of August, 2011. He was bound by a Undertaking with the relevant condition to abstain to have communication directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend and Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 2nd of August, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 22 year-old ex-girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was withheld as it would identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON " The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 1st of August, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. and the following day at 7:30 a.m. at a Second Street West Church. There were no signs of forced entry however the doors to the food cupboards located inside were damaged and food was stolen. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

Cornwall, ON " The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 1st of August, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. and the following day at 8:00 a.m. at a Old Orchard Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by cutting the screen in the front entrance and bending it open. Once inside the suspect(s) stole a 42” LCD Toshiba television, HD, black in colour. Cornwall, ON " The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred during the 31st of July, 2011 and the following morning at an Adolphus Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry to the garage which had been left unlocked and open. Once inside the suspect(s) stole a Craftsman Skilsaw, a Black & Decker Skilsaw, Milwaukee work radio, a small electric fan, and bolt cutters.
