OPP identify victims in Alexandria fatal fire
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Detachment (SD&G) have identified the victims in an early morning fire at a residence in Alexandria, Ontario. A 22yr old female (Sarah CHOLETTE ), 3yr old girl (Chloe DESJARDINS) and a 9month old boy (Jacob DESJARDINS) have died.

Alexandria - Aug. 12, 2011 - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Detachment (SD&G) have identified the victims in an early morning fire at a residence in Alexandria, Ontario.

A 22yr old female (Sarah CHOLETTE ), 3yr old girl (Chloe DESJARDINS) and a 9month old boy (Jacob DESJARDINS) died as a result of a fire in the family home early this morning, August 12, 2011.

A 26yr old male (Martin DESJARDINS) was transported to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital with serious injuries and was subsequently airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. A 19 month old boy (Maxime DESJARDINS) was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario with serious injuries.

The OPP’s SD&G Detachment Crime Unit is assisting the Ontario Office of the Chief Coroner and the Office of the Fire Marshal with the investigation.
