Northumberland OPP investigating homicide in Campbellford
On Saturday August 13, 2011, at 12:50PM, officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence located on Front Street in the Town of Campbellford. The ongoing police investigation into this murder is being conducted by members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit.

Campbellford - Aug. 13, 2011 - On Saturday August 13, 2011, at 12:50PM, officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence located on Front Street in the Town of Campbellford.

Responding officers were met at the home by Paramedics who had been contacted by family members after a resident of the home was found deceased.

The ongoing police investigation into this murder is being conducted by members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

The identity of the victim will not be released pending the completion of next of kin notifications.

The OPP is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a motor vehicle which is believed to be associated to this homicide. The motor vehicle is described as a 2009, Pontiac G3, 4 door, gray in colour with a personalized Ontario licence plate of BUSYBEES.

If you see this vehicle, do not touch it and if you observe it while it is being driven, do not approach the vehicle or it's occupants. Call the OPP immediately by calling 911.
