Cornwall Police have a busy weekend, issue a number of charges
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service: A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 12th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to have contact with a certain female.

Cornwall - Aug. 16, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 12th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to have contact with a certain female. It is alleged that on the 10th of August, 2011 the youth entered into an altercation with his 15 year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her. The youth allegedly also threaten to kill his girlfriend’s mother and damage her vehicle. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Domestic Assault, utter Threat to cause Death, Utter Threat to Damage Property and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was withheld as per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DRUGS
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 12th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 12th of August, 2011 he was located by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service to be yelling and screaming. Upon his arrested, the youth was found to be in possession of a green leafy substance believed to by marijuana and several pills. The youth was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled substance and was released to appear in court on the 1st of September, 2011. His name was withheld as per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

UTTER THREATS
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 12th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 22nd of June, 2011, he uttered threats against a school staff member. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 4 counts of Utter a Death Threat and released to appear in court on the 1st of September, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name was withheld as per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

OVER .80
Cornwall, ON- Marcel Depatie, 59 of Cornwall was arrested on the 12th of August, 2011 at approximately 10:15 p.m. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle on McConnell Avenue while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content and Fail to Provide Breath Sample. He was released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- Scott McGill, 19 of Lunenburg was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011 shortly after 2:30 a.m. It is alleged that he was operating a motor vehicle on Brookdale Avenue while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Devon Oakes, 35 of Akwesasne Quebec was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the pertinent conditions to abstain from the possession or consumption of any drugs or narcotics listed in Schedules of the CDSA or being found in the company of anyone known to you to use or deal in such substances and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he was observed to be in the company of someone known to use or deal in such substances. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.

THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Micheal Montroy, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011 following a shoptheft incident. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and to be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that he entered a Water Street Store and stole merchandise. He was arrested by the store’s Lost Prevention Officer and detained until the arrival of a member of the Cornwall Community Police service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and is schedule to attend court on the 2nd of October, 2011.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- Robert Cameron, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2011, he attended a Water Street store and confronted a staff member. He proceeded to assault him. The victim did not suffer any injuries. He was charged with Assault and released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.

BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- A 24 year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. She was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with a certain person and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 13th of August, 2011 she communicated with the said person. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. She was released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.

UTTER THREATS & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 29 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions not to associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a certain persons. It is alleged that on the 13th of August, 2011 he entered into an verbal altercation with one of the said persons and uttered a death threat and a threat to cause damage. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking, Utter threat to Cause Death and Utter Threat to Damage Property. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Ronald Joseph Bennett, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition not to community with a certain person and Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on or about the 1st of August, 2011 he had contact with the said person. He was charged with two counts of Breach of Recognizance and released to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- Brenden Campbell, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. He was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant conditions of to abide by a curfew from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am daily, to abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 13th of August, 2011 shortly prior to 10:30 p.m., he was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with three counts of Breach of Undertaking and released to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- Kyle Arthur Young, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on the 13th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions of not to attend at a specific licensed establishment; not to be away from my residence between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am except as follows: with surety and abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely or being found any place where alcohol is being sold save for restaurants. It is alleged that on the 13th of August, 2011 shortly prior to midnight, he was located in the specific establishment under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with three counts of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

Cornwall, ON- Randolph Blake Jaeck, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the relevant condition not to be away from his residence except with the company of his surety or designate. It is alleged that on the 14th of August, 2011 shortly after 1:00 p.m. he was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service away from his residence. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON â€" The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 14th of August, 2011 overnight at a McConnell Avenue residence. The suspect(s) opened the bedroom window screen and proceeded to steal a change purse. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

Cornwall, ON â€" The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 15th of August, 2011 overnight at a Cumberland Street business. The suspect(s) gained entry by prying the aluminum siding, making a hole in the plywood and proceed to steal money. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Youth Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to reside with at a place approved by your Probation Officer and to abide by a curfew set in consultation with your probation officer and your mother. It is alleged that the youth was not residing at a place approved by his probation officer, keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew. The youth was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Youth Probation Order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACHES & POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. He was bound by a YCJA Probation with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was bound by a second Probation Order with the condition to abide by a curfew of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was also bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly after 10:00 p.m., he was found to be in possession of a stolen mini motorcycle. He was charged with Possession of stolen Property, Breach of YCJA Probation Order, 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. The male’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Ryan James Sanderson, 30 of Hamilton ON was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition not to operate any motor vehicle. It is alleged that on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly after 10:30 p.m. he was observed operating a motor vehicle by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly prior to 11:00 p.m. at a St.Felix Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by a basement window and proceeded to steal money. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

Cornwall, ON - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 13th of August, 2011 and the 14th of August, 2011 at a Brookdale Avenue business. The suspect(s) gained entry by making a hole through a cinderblock wall in the attic. No property was reported stolen.
