Cornwall male charged with forcible confinement and assault
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service: 25 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 16th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 11th of November, 2010 he entered into an altercation with his 22 year-old ex-girlfriend when he refused to let her exit a room and threw a lighter at her.

Cornwall - Aug. 17, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:

FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT & ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- A 25 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 16th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 11th of November, 2010 he entered into an altercation with his 22 year-old ex-girlfriend when he refused to let her exit a room and threw a lighter at her. It was also alleged that on the 8th of August, 2011 he threw a lighter at her striking her in the face. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Forcible Confinement and two counts of Assault with a weapon. He was released to appear in court on the 20th of September, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

CARE & CONTROL
Cornwall, ON- Robert Umgeher, 55 of Brockville ON was arrested on the 17th of August, 2011. It is alleged that he was found in care and control of a motorcycle by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with Impaired Operation-Care and Control and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on the 6th of September, 2011.
