OPP make arrest in Campbellford murder investigation
The Crime Unit of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) has made an arrest in the homicide of 82-year old Lillian Beryl NICHOLAS of Campbellford who was found murdered in her Front Street residence on Saturday August 13, 2011.

Campbellford - Aug. 22, 2011 - The Crime Unit of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) has made an arrest in the homicide of 82-year old Lillian Beryl NICHOLAS of Campbellford who was found murdered in her Front Street residence on Saturday August 13, 2011.

Twenty-year old James Patrick VAN DUSEN was arrested last evening without incident at his Campbellford home and has been charged with First Degree Murder. He is scheduled to appear today at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Cobourg.

The investigation into the murder of Lillian Beryl NICHOLAS is continuing and anyone with information is asked to please call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or if they wish to remain anonymous, they can call contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
