Toronto - Sep. 2, 2011 - The Ontario Liberals are the first party with candidates nominated in each of the province’s 107 ridings - the most prepared, most-energized and most-determined party for the provincewide campaign set to start next week.

“When the Premier appointed me Campaign Chair for our party 10 years ago, he charged me with making our team represent the real face of Ontario,” said Greg Sorbara, MPP - Vaughan. “In this election we have the strongest team of candidates we’ve ever had, representing people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.”

Ontario Liberals have nominated a record 42 women candidates. Each election, all parties commit to targets, except the other parties do not follow through.

“I have no doubt we’ll be welcoming even more women to our caucus in our third term as government,” Sorbara said. “Ontario Liberals will continue to strengthen the voice of women in provincial affairs.”

“The Ontario Liberals are the only party with a plan to build the world’s best-educated workforce, give our families the best health care and help Ontario be the leading North American destination for clean-energy investments and jobs,” said Kathleen Wynne, MPP " Don Valley West.

The Hudak PCs have $14 billion of unspecified cuts to education and health in their platform. The disappointing NDP platform would put a crushing $9 billion of new taxes on the Ontario businesses that create jobs. The opposition would take our economy off track and kill tens of thousands of jobs.
