Moose Creek - Sep. 7, 2011 - As the official start to the Ontario election approaches, Ontario PC candidate for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Jim McDonell kicked off his campaign with hundreds of supporters at Sand Road Sugar Camp, Moose Creek, Thursday night.

“We’ve had a great response at the thousands of doors that we’ve knocked on. People are tired of the ‘Tax Man’ Dalton McGuinty and want a change,” said McDonell. “We’re going all out to spread our message about tax relief and getting Ontario back on track.””

McDonell has been working non-stop since his nomination victory in April. He has knocked on many doors throughout the riding, working at the grassroots level to gain support and momentum. In addition, many volunteers have been preparing signs, working in the office, and making calls to supporters.

“The response to Jim’s campaign has been great so far, people are really helping out and Jim is working non-stop,” said Campaign Manager Eric Duncan. “There’s a lot of work to do before October 6th, so we are working hard to keep up our momentum.”

McDonell’s campaign office has been open and fully operational for nearly a month now, and McDonell has been meeting with voters continuously.
