Cornwall - Sep. 21, 2011 - The Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce will host an All Candidates debate. The event takes place at the Cornwall Civic Complex, Salon B on Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

“There are a number of ongoing issues that need to be addressed,” reports Chamber President, Rick Shaver. “This release contains the attachment that shows a province-wide survey of business, one that reveals the issues identified as having particular importance. Add to that the matter of health care and a reversal of municipal downloading and the next government will have many challenges to face.”

“It is imperative,” continued Shaver, that everyone in our community exercise their right to vote. I urge them to attend the debate and then, go to the polls.”

The debate begins at 7:00 p.m. with a moderator posing questions to each of the candidates followed by a scrum. The public in attendance will also have an opportunity to ask questions of each of the candidates.
