Kraft Food for Families helps the House of Lazarus
For most of us, the holiday season is a time of celebration with lots of great food. But for some families it can be a challenging time for the simple reason that there is not enough food to go around. Mountain - Nov. 8, 2011 - For most of us, the holiday season is a time of celebration with lots of great food. But for some families it can be a challenging time for the simple reason that there is not enough food to go around.

That’s why Kraft Food for Families is supporting local food banks across Canada this holiday season.

By simply signing their name online at www.kraftassists.ca, Canadians can support the growing needs of their community, neighbours, and friends. For each virtual signature received between now and January 31, Kraft Food for Families will donate $1 to help one of 30 local food banks in need. These funds will help pay for resources food banks need to serve their community over the long term, including freezers, shelves and storage rooms.

Food banks also may use the funds to purchase food to meet immediate community needs. In addition, the food bank that receives the most online support will receive an additional $10,000 in support from Kraft Food for Families.

Show your support between November 3, 2011 and January 31, 2012, just add your name daily. It is as easy as going to www.kraftassists.ca and entering your name to support The House of Lazarus. When you enter every day you will have given $98.00 to help others.

By choosing The House of Lazarus you will be helping them to stock our shelves with much needed food. Together, we can help make the holidays easier for everyone.

Any questions contact Kim or Elaine at the House of Lazarus at 613-989-3830
