Cornwall Police Blotter November 10
Community Police Service Patrol Division arrested two men on the 9th of November, 2011 for robbery. It is alleged that on the 3rd of November, 2011, the men entered a 37 year-old acquaintance's residence, assaulted him and proceeded to remove prescription medication. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed.

Cornwall - Nov. 10, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Brent Lafave, 41 of Gloucester was arrested on the 9th of November, 2011. He was bound by an undertaking with the condition to remain within the Ottawa-Carleton jurisdiction except for work purposes. It is alleged that a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Second Street, in the City of Cornwall on the 9th of November, 2011 and he was located inside. He was charged with breach of undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 9th of November, 2011. The youth was bound by a probation order with the conditions to abide by a curfew from 9pm to 6am Sunday to Thursday and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 9th of November, 2011 the youth was late for curfew and police were contacted. The youth was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation order. The youth was released to an adult and to appear in court on the 8th of December, 2011. The youth's name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Ronald Villeneuve, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on the 10th of November, 2011. He was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to not to associate with anyone known to have a criminal record and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 10th of November, 2011 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop and located him to be on the company of someone with a criminal record. He was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

ROBBERY
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division arrested two men on the 9th of November, 2011 for robbery. It is alleged that on the 3rd of November, 2011, the men entered a 37 year-old acquaintance's residence, assaulted him and proceeded to remove prescription medication. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed.

Christopher McDermid, 21 of Cornwall was charged with robbery, overcoming resistance and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was held in custody until court the following day.

An 18 year-old Cornwall man was bound by an Youth Criminal Justice Act probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. He was charged with robbery, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation order. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DRUG WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant shortly prior to 7:30 pm on the 8th of November, 2011 at a Second Street West residence. As a result of the investigation two people were arrested and charged with drug and criminal code related offences when they were allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Police seized a quantity of substances believes to be cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills. He total value of seized drugs and property is estimated at $2,500.00.

Laurie Carr, 29 of Cornwall was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behavior and not to possess any drugs in contravention of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. She was charged with 3 counts of possession of controlled substances, 3 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and 2 counts of breach of undertaking. She was held in custody until court the following day.

Ryan Selleck, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on the 9th of November, 2011 and charged with 3 counts of possession of controlled substances, 3 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He was released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011 to answer to the charges.

ASSAULT & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 14 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 8th of November, 2011. The youth was bound by an undertaking with the conditions to attend school without truancy and abide by the rules of the residence set out by her mother. It is alleged that on the 8th of November, 2011 she failed to attend school and got into an altercation with her mother when she assaulted her. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with assault and 2 counts of breach of undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth's name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

YOUTH PROBATION WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 8th of November, 2011 under the strength of a youth probation warrant. It is alleged that the youth failed to report to probation on the 8th of November, 2011. He was located and held in custody until court the following day. The youth's name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
