R-O Students Recognized For Achievements At Fall Awards Assembly
The fall Awards Assembly was held on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 pm. Students in grades 10 to 12 were recognized for their achievements in second semester of the last school year (February to June 2011). Approximately 60 students were honoured in a number of categories.

Ingleside - November 11, 2011 - The fall Awards Assembly was held on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 pm. Students in grades 10 to 12 were recognized for their achievements in second semester of the last school year (February to June 2011). Approximately 60 students were honoured in a number of categories:

- Honours Plaques and Tabs were presented to students who earned averages of 80% or higher in the 2010-2011 school year.
- Profiency Awards were presented to the students earning the highest averages in each grade.

The DeMary Video Proficiency Award for the highest average in Grade 9 was presented to Sean Winters.

The Proficiency Keeper for the second highest average in Grade 9 was presented to Danielle Poirier-Froats.

The Rozon Insurance Proficiency Award for the highest average in Grade 10 was presented to Alyson Waldroff.

The Proficiency Keeper for the second highest average in Grade10 was presented to Jake Casselman.

The Ingleside Pharmacy Proficiency Award for the highest average in Grade 11 was presented to Emily Nishibori.

The Proficiency Keeper for the second highest average in Grade 11 was presented to Neil Dempster.

The Brownlee Funeral Homes Improvement Awards recognize students who have significantly raised their report card average from the previous school year or from first semester to second semester. The following students were recognized for this achievement:

- Brent Corman , Grade 9 Improvement Award, male student.
- Shawndra Whaley, Grade 9 Improvement Award, female student.
- Luke Roach, Grade 10 Improvement Award, male student.
- Chelsea Lalonde, Grade 10 Improvement Award, female student.
- Cole Richardson, Grade 11 Improvement Award, male student
- Sara Willard, Grade 11 Improvement Award, female student

Achiever pins were presented to students nominated by teachers for a variety of reasons, including excellent work habits, academic achievement, citizenship, and participation.

The Ontario Principal's Council award, presented to a student who exemplified Leadership skills and who contributed a great deal to school life, was presented by Mrs. Susan Rutters to Kasey Sleeman. Kasey is involved in many aspects of school life at Rothwell-Osnabruck School (K-12). She was an exemplary co-op student in an elementary classroom. Through her co-op placement she helped with the Peacemaker program at the Primary-Junior end of the school. She was also a Reading Champion instructor assisting our primary readers. She was a leader on Athletics Council helping to implement our highly successful House System. She also played on or managed several school teams.
