Cornwall Police blotter for December 16
A 62 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 15th of December, 2011. It is alleged that sometime between the 1st of December, 2010 and the 31st of December, 2010, he sexually assaulted his 12 year-old goddaughter.

Cornwall - December 18, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

SEXUAL INTERFERENCE AND ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 62 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 15th of December, 2011. It is alleged that sometime between the 1st of December, 2010 and the 31st of December, 2010, he sexually assaulted his 12 year-old goddaughter. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. He was released to appear in court on the 5th of January, 2012 to answer to the charges. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT & ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 15th of December, 2011. It is alleged that on the 15th of December, 2011 she got into an altercation with her mother when she assaulted her and sprayed a substance in her face. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with assault and assault with a weapon. She was released to appear in court on the 12th of January, 2012. The youth's name was not releases as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREAK & ENTER ARREST
Cornwall, ON- Kelly Lalonde, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on the 16th of December, 2011. He was bound by a probation order with the condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with anyone known to you to use narcotics . It is alleged that on the 16th of December, 2011 he entered a business unlawfully and removed items. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located with someone known to use narcotics and charged with break and enter and 2 counts of breach of probation order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigation a break and enter that occurred on the 15th of December, 2011 at a Vincent Massey Drive business. The suspect(s) gained entry by shattering the door window and proceed rummages through the building.
