Cornwall - January 5, 2012 - The internationally-acclaimed theatrical show Riverdance will play at the Cornwall Civic Complex on April 22 as part of its North American Farewell Tour.

"We are thrilled to welcome Riverdance to the Civic Complex," said Janice Robinson, Facility Rental Coordinator. "This is a great opportunity for residents to see a world-class show in their hometown."

Tickets for the show are now on sale, and there are three price ranges - $47.50, $57.50 and $67.50. Showtime is 7 pm. Tickets are available at the Civic Complex Box Office at (613) 938-9400, online at www.Admission.com or by calling 1-855-790-1245. A seating chart for the event can be viewed on the City website ( www.Cornwall.ca ).

Riverdance Producer Moya Doherty recently announced that the North American touring production of the show will close in June 2012. As such, this will mark the show's final performance in Cornwall.

"When we opened Riverdance in New York in March 1996, we never thought for one minute that our show would still be running 15 years later," said Mrs. Doherty. "Three years ago we embarked on our farewell tour, saying good-bye to every city in North America we have ever played in over the years, and next June 17th in our 16th year this current production of Riverdance will end and we will say our final goodbye. It has been a source of immense pride for me as Producer that America took Riverdance to its heart to such an amazing extent and I would like to pay tribute to every dancer, musician, singer and all the crew and staff who served Riverdance so well over the years."
