Cornwall - January 8, 2012 - The Abrams Brothers, with their new-grass bluegrass, are creating a palpable buzz: "fiery energy"... "blistering fiddle work"... "young, fun, with talent to burn"... "effortless harmonies"... or, as folk music legend Arlo Guthrie succinctly put it, "These guys are way too young to be playing that good!"

With the release of their fourth CD, Northern Redemption, The Abrams Brothers have raised the bar yet again, underpinning the more traditional fast rhythms and intricate guitar finger-work with the addition of electric instrumentation, creating the 'new grass' of their unique sound. Their superb version of Coldplay's Viva la Vida is just one stunning example.

In keeping with their family musical heritage, which reaches back four generations, brothers John and James began playing violin at ages nine and six, respectively, and within a few years were regulars at Canadian country fairs and road shows. Cousin Elijah joined them, playing bass, and in 2005 The Abrams Brothers were the youngest-ever Canadians to grace the stage at the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN.

Accompanying their tight and satisfying harmonies, on a broad range of instruments - guitars, mandolin, violin, viola, stand-up bass - The Abrams Brothers draw from a deep pool of musical styles - Scottish fiddle tunes, country, classical, jazz, Americana, bluegrass, gospel, roots, blues - slipping back and forth effortlessly from one tune to the next in a seamless blend steeped in family tradition.

The Abrams Brothers - prepare to be amazed!
