Follow Me on TwitterTim Cornett is a lifelong resident of Windsor and a diehard fan of the Windsor Spitfires, Toronto Maple Leafs, Hamilton Tiger Cats, Pittsburgh Steelers, and just to be different, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles - ('hey, if my father-in-law can have two favourite hockey teams, I can have two favourite baseball teams!') Tim is a photographer by profession, with a love of writing. 'Whatnot' pays homage to his late father Jim's long running Windsor Star column 'Who, When and Whatnot.' Mike Miller Retires From Broadcast Booth

Mar. 4, 2019: Mike Miller, the radio play-by-play voice of the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires, has called it a career. In a press release issued by the team, Miller cites "a voice and vocal disorder from overuse that currently limits his ability to execute play-by-play at a high level" as the reason for his decision. His AM800 broadcast partner Frank Dayus will continue alongside Steve Bell, another familiar voice who is no stranger to fans of Spitfire hockey. FULL STORY

Curtis Joseph In Town To Promote New Book

Dec. 10, 2018: Windsor loves Curtis Joseph. And the throng of people who gathered at Devonshire Mall’s Indigo book store recently proved it. Joseph was in town at the end of a coast to coast book signing tour that began in October and ended in London on December 1st. His new book "Cujo – The Untold Story Of My Life On And Off The Ice" is a look into the life of the former superstar NHL goaltender and arguably the best player not currently in the Hockey Hall Of Fame. Hometown Hockey - Johnny Bower Memories

Dec. 28, 2017: There are only three people in this world I thought would live forever. One of them was my dad. The other two were Gordie Howe and Johnny Bower. Dad, who was instrumental in making me a hockey fan, passed away eleven years ago, Gordie left us in June of 2016, and Johnny Bower died on Boxing Day, (coincidentally the same day my dad died). So much for my psychic capabilities. FULL STORY
