Tri-County Literacy Council holding a Tutor Training Workshop

Tri-County Literacy Council will be having an upcoming Tutor Training Workshop on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 from 9:30am to Noon, Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 1 to 4pm, and Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 1 to 4pm. This 3-day workshop will train volunteers in how to tutor adults with basic literacy needs.

Cornwall - January 30, 2012 - Tri-County Literacy Council will be having an upcoming Tutor Training Workshop on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 from 9:30am to Noon, Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 1 to 4pm, and Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 1 to 4pm.

This 3-day workshop will train volunteers in how to tutor adults with basic literacy needs.

Topics discussed include the characteristics of the adult learner; assessing the learner`s needs and understanding the learner`s plan. The skills you learn will lead your student to develop a portfolio of accomplishments.

The workshop is interactive and open to persons with the skills necessary to train others.

A charge of $35 applies for training.
