Cornwall - March 19, 2012 - The Rotary Club of Cornwall and the Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise have been keeping things busy organizing events around the community. Aside from making contributions to recreation facilities like the Benson Centre and community groups like the Boys and Girls Club, the Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise hosted a chili cook-off February 19th as part of Winterfest.

Local businesses, such as Baxtrom's Your Independent Grocer, Farm Boy, No Frills, Rangatangs/Krazy Amigos, and Wendy's contributed to the successful event, as did non-profit organizations such as the Canadian Hunger Foundation and the Canadian Mental Health Association. We're not sure if the Fire Department won for their chili, charm, and/or uniforms, however, you definitely don't want to miss having seconds next year. Thank you so much to all who volunteered and attended!

The Rotary Club of Cornwall is hosting its annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, February 24th at St John's Presbyterian Church from 7:00 am to 1:00pm. Bring your family out for entertainment, a silent auction, and of course a delicious breakfast.

Proceeds from these events are contributed back into local community projects.

If you have any questions about what else Rotary does, have any ideas for a great event, or if you'd like to be involved in the future, please contact any Rotarian.
