Cornwall Lift-Off enjoying sunny skies in Cornwall
The Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off festival grounds are the place to be this week for fun and entertainment for the entire family. The Lift-Off stage will be busy all week long with some of the top names in Canadian music, including the legendary Burton Cummings, rockers Sloan, Big Wreck and Marianas Trench.

Cornwall - July 12, 2012 - The Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off festival grounds are the place to be this week for fun and entertainment for the entire family. Let's take a quick look at what's happening, starting Thursday July 12 at Noon, and running until Sunday July 15:

Music on the St. Lawrence

The Lift-Off stage will be busy all week long with some of the top names in Canadian music, including the legendary Burton Cummings, rockers Sloan, Big Wreck and Marianas Trench. They will be joined on stage by a number of up-and-coming acts including several local bands such as The Shiners, Coldrift, SwitchGear and Elly May. Tickets for the music act can be purchased onsite at the Tallman Truck Centre entertainment circle.

Thursday Line Up starting at 4:50 pm
•Candy Provost - National Anthem
•Arcane Belief - Local Band!
•Playing with Diana - Local band!
•Sloan - Juno award-winning band who have a soft spot for sweet sugar tunes.
•Big Wreck - Reunited and on tour in support of their 3rd studio album, Albatross.

Friday Line Up starting at 5:00 pm
•SwitchGear - Local band bringing a little bit of country with tunes from their debut CD!
•The Shiners - Local roots rockers touring in support of their second CD!
•Suzie McNeil - The last woman standing on Rockstar: INXS, touring to support her 4th CD
•Burton Cummings - The legendary lead singer and co-writer for The Guess Who.

Saturday Line Up starting at 5:00 pm
•Elly May - Local band showcasing tunes of their new EP!
•Tyler Kealey - Ottawa's piano man.
•The New Cities - Juno nominated band sizzling the charts with their new single Heatwave.
•Marianas Trench - Canada’s hottest new pop act on tour of their 3rd studio album.

Ontario's Only Hot Air Balloon Festival

Take a ride in on of 26 balloons that will rise over the city, or come on down to the Computer Sense Launch field and watch as the balloon crews prepare for take-off. This year, several specialty shape balloons will be visiting, including T-REX - a friendly green dinosaur that stretchs over 120 feet tall!

Midway

Homeniuk Rides is back again with its family oriented midway, including top quality amusement rides such as the Scrambler and Ring of Fire. Kiddie Rides are their specialty. Or try your luck in a variety of traditional midway games or grab some candy floss and freshly squeezed lemonade at their concession stands. Admission is free, ride tickets can be purchased on site.

Dock Dogs

Watch some amazing feats of canine agility and athletic performance at the famous Dock Dogs competitions - located to the east of the Complex. Each day at 4:00pm the organizers will open the Dock up for the public to bring a new dog down and let them try out the events. Admission is free.

CAS Family Zone

Located near the splash pad, the CAS Family Zone once again will be filled with activities for the youngster including inflatable amusements. Admission is free.

Seniors Bingo (SUNDAY 12 NOON TO 2:00PM) Limited Seating, prizes to be won, refreshments served.

Free Cornwall Transit Rides
Fesitval goers can take the bus for free to and from the festival with a ticket or bracelet as proof. On Friday Night the buses will run late and be lined up on Water St. after the fireworks!
