Cornwall - January 15, 2012 - We will soon celebrate our first anniversary. OurHometown.ca was launched on January 27th, 2011, however today we have achieved a milestone that we would like to share with our readers and advertisers.

Today, we registered our one millionth page view in just 353 days! To the best of our knowledge, it happened at approximately, 11:59 am this morning when a visitor from Williamsburg, Virginia came to our site and read Liam Carter's game summary between the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings.

The most encouraging part of this impressive statistic for us, is that the site has achieved over 715,000 page views in the last four and a half months. As such, we are extremely encouraged to look ahead to our second full year of operation. We believe that we will be able to achieve two million page views or more in year two!

On September 19, 2011, Alexa.com ranked us as the number one online news site in Cornwall and area and we are still number one today! January is off to an extremely strong start and we will have some more impressive traffic numbers to share with you later in the month.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to the thousands of you who have made our site one of your regular online destinations.
