River Kings enforcer Dannick Lessard shot, doctors try to save arm
Cornwall River Kings enforcer Dannick Lessard was shot earlier this morning at a night club near Mirabel where he worked just after 3am.

Cornwall - October 29, 2012 - Cornwall River Kings enforcer Dannick Lessard was shot earlier this morning at a night club near Mirabel where he worked just after 3am.

Team governor Pat Lacelle was the team official contacted by authorities who then passed the information onto Head Coach, Al Wagar and General Manager, Wayne Veary.

Lacelle says, "Our thoughts and prayers are with Dannick and his family in this difficult time. He continues to undergo surgeries since early this morning as doctors try to save his arm. The latest information the team has is that the situation remains very serious with Dannick`s condition described as stable. A police investigation is underway under the direction of the Sûreté du Québec. The organization is hopeful Dannick will make a full recovery."
