Wozniak cries foul
Yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens assigned center Louis Leblanc to their AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. And while that came as a surprise to some media types, the bigger story was the reaction of Leblanc’s girlfriend, Aleksandra Wozniak. According to the Hockey News, the 2009 first round draft pick is listed as the sixth line center on the Habs’ depth chart. Last time I checked, most teams roll four lines. Do the math, Aleksandra.

Windsor - September 18, 2013 - In the world of professional sports, there is disappointment every day. It can come in the form of a loss, an injury, or being sent to the minors. In this case, it’s the latter.

Wozniak, a professional tennis player took to Twitter to voice her displeasure with the situation. Her tweets, both in English and French read “He did everything the CH organization told him to do and what…got cut this early?” and “A real joke with the worst excuse for cutting someone. Really not a “fair shot”! Too much manipulation!”

Wozniak’s irresponsible tweets have taken social media to a new low. And while I’m not sure what the “worst excuse” was, how about this? According to the Hockey News, the 2009 first round draft pick is listed as the sixth line center on the Habs’ depth chart. Last time I checked, most teams roll four lines. Do the math, Aleksandra.

It’s one thing to be disappointed. Publicly ripping a well respected organization and sharing it with the world is quite another. Clearly, Wozniak was never taught the “count to ten” rule. And I’ll bet Leblanc was just plain thrilled.
