Stoney Point - September 18, 2013 - Nice to see a good kid from my old hometown succeed. Today, the Kitchener Rangers announced that Williamstown native Eric Ming will be one of the teams four assistant captains for the upcoming Ontario Hockey League Season.

Ming, played with the Cornwall Colts before moving on to the OHL with the Rangers. He is the son of Cornwall businessman Tim Ming.

Ming joins Evan McEneny, Matia Marcantuoni and Curtis Meighan as assistant captains. Earlier in the day, the team named Ben Fanelli captain, to round out its leadership group.

In the team release, Ming was described as "having earned the respect of his teammates over the past three seasons in Kitchener, with his determination and impressive work ethic. The gritty winger comes into his overage season having set a new career high in goals scored last year. "

Well done Eric...best of luck in the upcoming season!
