Andrew Ebbett and Zach Sill Called To The Burgh Bennett On IR
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Zach Sill and Andrew Ebbett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 25, 2013 - This news from the Pittsburgh Penguins website as of today.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Zach Sill and Andrew Ebbett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Sill, 25, made his NHL debut against the New Jersey Devils on Nov. 16, registering two hits in 9:10 minutes. Sill has five points (2G-3A) in 14 games with WBS this year.

A five-year veteran, Sill has 72 points (32G-40A) in 273 career AHL regular-season contests. He has added 11 points (6G-5A) in 43 postseason contests.

Ebbett, 30, ranks third on WBS with 15 points (6G-9A) in 18 regular-season games. Ebbett scored the game-winning goal in WBS’ 5-2 defeat of Saint John’s on Saturday night.

Ebbett, who hails from Vernon, British Columbia, has played parts of six NHL seasons with Anaheim, Chicago, Minnesota, Phoenix and Vancouver. His best season came in 2008-09 with Anaheim when he tallied 32 points (8G-24A) in 48 regular-season games and three points (1G-2A) in 13 playoff games. All of those numbers represented career highs.

Ebbett has played in 191 career NHL regular-season games, posting 25 goals, 39 assists and 64 points. Ebbett has added three points (1G-2A) in 19 career playoff games. The Penguins have placed forward Beau Bennett on injured reserve.
