Stoney Point - April 5, 2014 - The Windsor Spitfires have selected defenceman Logan Stanley with the 12th overall pick in the first round of today’s Ontario Hockey League Draft. Stanley is 6’6”, weighs 209 pounds and last played for the Waterloo Wolves.

The Scouting Bureau had this to say about Stanley - “Highly scouted rearguard with polarizing results...good north south mobility but struggles in pivots...outstanding size/reach...unpredictable offensive attacks are uncalculated/risky...defensive coaching needed...capable of big hits.”

In the second round with the 26th pick overall, the Spits picked up LW Daniil Verity from the North York Rangers. With the final pick in the second round (40th overall), Windsor added centre Clayton Keller from Shattuck St. Mary’s.

The draft is currently in the third round, but the Spits do not pick again until the middle of the fourth round at 72nd overall.
