Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 8, 2014 -

The WBS Penguins took a ride up north tonight to take on the Binghamton Senators looking to go two for two on the games this weekend. Binghamton was looking to be a spoiler for WBS.

Some great action in the opening minutes of tonight's game Binghamton really started to apply pressure but Matt Murray keeps them honest holding the line and the score at zero.

WBS would get the first power play of the game but would not get to convert WBS would get another chance on the power play as Wideman takes an unsportsmanlike firing a shot after the whistle, this time WBS takes full advantage Bryan Rust would get the power play goal making it one nothing WBS.

Binghamton would get a chance during the first period as well as WBS's Reid McNeill clears the puck over the glass and takes a delay of game penalty. The Senators would convert on the power play making it one all just 2:18 after the WBS power play goal. That would be all the action for the first period leaving the ice for intermission all even at one each.

Second period action saw WBS and Binghamton both getting some chances early but Bryan Rust would be the one to break the first period tie, going on HTA Bryan Rust would get the puck past Andrrew Hammond Penguins lead 2-1. Josh Archibald would tally the Penguins third goal on the power play now leading the Sens 3-1.

Conor Sheary would tally the Penguins fourth goal of the game making it 4-1 WBS . Reid McNeill would get called for a rough giving the Senators a power play chance and 1-2-3 the Senators would score cutting the Pens lead in half just like that. WBS would give Binghamton a glorious power play chance nearing the end of the second period and yes, the Senators would take full advantage cutting the Penguins lead to just one goal heading off the ice between 2nd and 3rd period trailing 4-3.

More action in the third WBS looking for a little breathing room Rust almost getting one in but Hammond shuts the door keeping it a one goal spread just over five minutes into the period. Heading the other way Shane Prince gets the chance to even it up for Bingo but Matt Murray keeps him out.

Andrew Ebbett would give the Penguins the two goal cushion once again now leading the Senators 5-3, Ebbets goal came on a nice setup by Jayson Megna who put the puck right on Ebbett's stick.

The Senators were looking to get back into tonight's game with just over three minutes left in regulation, WBS coming back with some great attempts to put the game away Kuhnhackl getting a chance but Hammond slamming the door. Carter Rowney would get the Knockout goal just after Kuhnhackl's attempt making it 6-3 WBS.

WBS Dea would get called for hookling giving Bingo a power play then Bobby farnham serve a too many men call on WBS creating a 6 on 3 chance for the Senators as the empty the net looking to get back into this game. Binghamton would score with 18 seconds left in the game making it 6-4 .

Tonight's game would end but not without some rough stuff the Penguins coming out on top of both beating the Binghamton Senators 6-4 going two for two so far this weekend. Tomorrow the Penguins will take on the Syracuse Crunch at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, puck drops at 4:05 if you don't have tickets you might want to get them it should be a great game.
