Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 22, 2014 -

The WBS Penguins came home to take on the Manchester Monarch's who beat the Penguins 4-1 back in Octoboer this time the Penguins were looking to send the Monarch's back with a loss.

Things got off to a slow start for the WBS Penguins getting called for two penalties and giving the Manchester Monarchs the first power plays of the night. The Monarchs take advantage and scored during the power play making it one nothing Manchester.

The Monarchs would tally a second goal just 73 seconds later making it two nothing Manchester. The WBS Penguins would cut the lead in half on a 5 on 3 power play with a nice top shelf shot from Jean Sebastien Dea. The first period would go in the books Monarchs 2 WBS Penguins 1.

The WBS Penguins would even things up on the power play as Conor Sheary swooped in and snapped off a top shelf shot beating Berube clean making it two all just under five minutes in to the second.

The Monarchs would answer right back with another tally taking the lead once again now 3-2 Manchester. Bobby Farnham and Ryan Horvat do a little polka a nice fight score it for Farnham. End of two Pens trailed by one with 20 more minutes to go in regulation.

Third period saw a lot of action but nothing in the way of scoring. The WBS Penguins getting a lot of chances but just not the bounces that they needed. Manchester coming right back at the Pens with some chances of their own but Jeff Zatkoff making some great saves keeps it a close game for WBS.

The Penguins got a great chance in the closing minutes of the game as Sean Backman got called for a trip putting WBS on the power play, the Penguins pulled Zatkoff for the extra attacker making it a 6 on 4 but it wasn't enough. The Monarch's held on for the 3-2 win over WBS.
