The Barrie Colts have announced the details pertaining to their 19th annual training camp which will take place at the Barrie Molson Centre beginning Monday, August 26th. Returning players, free agents and draft picks will kick off training camp on Monday with fitness testing before getting in to on-ice sessions on Tuesday.

Barrie - August 21, 2013 - The Barrie Colts have announced the details pertaining to their 19th annual training camp which will take place at the Barrie Molson Centre beginning Monday, August 26th.

Returning players, free agents and draft picks will kick off training camp on Monday with fitness testing before getting in to on-ice sessions on Tuesday.

TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, August 27th
-Scrimmages from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-3:15 p.m.

Wednesday, August 28th
-Scrimmages from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-3:15 p.m.

Thursday, August 29th
-Practices from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Thursday, August 29th
-Blue and White Game at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, August 30th
-Practice from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

All practices and scrimmages are free to attend and rosters will be made available to the public on Tuesday morning.

The annual Blue and White game will take place on Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 p.m. and is free to all fans.

This year’s training camp will include first round pick Matthew Kreis, USNTDP grad Kevin Labanc, Ivan Hlinka Gold medalists Brendan Lemieux and Aaron Ekblad as well as recently drafted goaltender Daniel Gibl.

After career years in points, leading scorer Zach Hall, Andreas Athanasiou and Mitchell Theoret will look to continue there strong offensive output this season. Also, returning netminder Alex Fotinos will look to solidify the starters job between the pipes and lead his team back to the OHL finals.

The 2013 Eastern Conference Champion Barrie Colts begin exhibition play with a Labour Day weekend home and home series with Owen Sound Attack.
