Belleville - August 22, 2013 - The Belleville Bulls Hockey Club continues to invest in building its hockey skill development & education business. In keeping with their goal of leading the market in this developing business area, the Bulls have appointed local Hockey Skills Instructor Rob Bunton to oversee the planning and delivery of the various Belleville Bulls hockey schools, skills programs, and development leagues.

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Bunton is currently teaching at St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School and has 30 years of coaching experience across Minor Hockey, AAA, High School and College levels. He is a certified Hockey Canada Skills Academy Instructor and the 2012 recipient of the Leadership in Sport Award for lifetime contributions to hockey from the Ontario Federation of Secondary School Athletics.

“Our organization wants to be a hockey skills development leader at the community level,” said Bunton, looking forward to the work that lies ahead of him. “Since I decided to take a step back from actively coaching, I’ve found a real enjoyment in overseeing the development of young players in the Quinte region. I’d like to implement some improvements and expand our program into new avenues moving forward. It will be a lot of fun.”

Bunton has joined local women’s hockey talent Jackie Jarrell as an on-ice instructor throughout Bulls Hockey Development Camps during the month of August. His daughter Hanna was a member of the Canadian Women’s U18 Team who were 2013 World Champions and will attend Cornell University on a scholarship this fall.

The Bulls will be holding a number of different camps throughout the upcoming season, including P.A. Day Camps, Goaltending Academy led by Bulls coach Sebastien Farrese and many more initiatives. Bunton and the Bulls Hockey Development team will be implementing new programs that will be announced in the coming weeks and months. If your team or association is looking for experienced development support, call Bulls Hockey Development Coordinator Ryan Bottum at 613-966-8338 ext. 3890.

With plenty of action off the ice, don’t forget about Bulls action on the ice as Training Camp opens on Wednesday, August 28th at the Yardmen Arena. Season Ticket Membership packages are available for pickup at the Bulls box office on weekdays between 10:00am and 5:00pm!
